Dr Elena Birch

Principal Dentist

Elena qualified from the prestigious Dental Institute at Guy's, King's College and St Thomas' Hospitals in London.
 
She worked in practices in Surrey for 11 years, prior to taking over Lorna Doone Dental Surgery in 2019. Elena has attended numerous post-graduate courses, including further training with the International Team for Implantology to place and restore dental implants, and training to provide adult cosmetic braces and clear aligners.
 
Elena is gentle, friendly and caring. She believes patients should be treated as individuals. She is committed to delivering both quality treatment and value for money. Elena enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
 
Elena lives locally in Woking with her husband and their two daughters.

 

Aniruddho Karak

Hygienist

With four-plus years of experience, our GDC registered Dental Hygienist, Aniruddho is both gentle and thorough.

Aniruddho is passionate about dentistry. He is experienced in all aspects of hygiene and gum treatments. Aniruddho particularly enjoys performing Airflow Hygiene.

Aniruddho is well travelled. In his spare time, he enjoys gym and running. He recently took part in the Brighton marathon.

 

 

Sowndariya Sreenivash

Our GDC registered Dental Hygienist, Sowndariya’s passion for dentistry and patient care is hard to ignore. She is a good listener, and is both gentle and attentive.

Sowndariya is experienced in all aspects of hygiene and gum treatments.

In her spare time, Sowndariya enjoys cooking, baking and classical dancing.

 

 

Maryam Khalid

Our Dental Nurse, Maryam is passionate about patient care. Maryam is attentive, and very good in making patients feel at ease.

Maryam lives locally in Woking, with her husband and their two daughters.

In her spare time, Maryam enjoys cooking and reading. Maryam makes a great Biryani.

 

 

Deborah Bonner

Reception Manager

 
 

Deborah has been our reception manager for the past four years.

Deborah has many years of experience working in the dental sector. She first started her career as a general nurse, then a dental nurse. Deborah later became a practice manager, and at one point, used to manage a group of dental practices.

Deborah is warm, friendly and attentive.

In her spare time, Deborah enjoys collecting jewellery, walking her friend’s dog, and has a passion for horses.

Our highly experienced nurses and receptionists play a vital role in keeping the practice running smoothly from day to day and both are always happy to help with any questions you may have. Please feel free to pop in or give them a call.

Nurse performing CPR Lorna Doone has a commitment to enhance and develop our professional abilities and skills, often referred to as CPD. It is a General Dental Council requirement that all dentists keep up to date by attending courses and conferences. We often have in-surgery training with experts coming in to teach all the staff about medical emergencies, cross infection control and the latest developments in dental products and techniques. As you can see it can be very hands on keeping up to date with CPR training.
